Pladia offers the flexibility to add Audio during the Object creation process, but some operators may prefer to upload Audio separately. If Audio is uploaded before adding the associated Object, it will be readily available in the list of uploaded Audio during Object creation. If you have any questions about the most suitable methodology for your team, please reach out to Customer Success for personalized assistance.

Steps to add Audio to the Pladia Console

  1. Select Audio from the left navigation in the Console.

  2. Search for an existing Audio file using the left-side search bar, or select Drop a new file or Choose a File.

    1. Drop the Audio file into the outlined action bar at the top of the screen.

    2. Select Choose a File from the same outlined action bar to search for a file on your computer.

      1. Required specifications:

        1. Audio file format: MP3 / M4A (.mp3 / .m4a)

        2. Format/codec: AAC

        3. Quality: 44.1 kHz, 16bit stereo; 192-256 Kbps

  3. The Pladia Console screen will reflect your adding the Audio file.

  1. The new Audio file will be listed alongside all other previously uploaded Audio.

  1. To edit your Audio details, click the three dots to the right of the Audio file and select Edit Audio.

    1. You can alter the Audio Name and External ID (the ID for the Audio associated within other systems of record).

  2. Once you are satisfied with the results, select Save Draft Changes in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

  1. Select Put On Display to make the Audio ready for publishing.

    1. To note: You will still need to publish your Audio to make it audible to your end users.

  2. Repeat this process until you have added all Audio files used within a particular Venue (unless you are adding an Audio file post-initial setup).

  3. To note: Each Audio file will have an Appearances tab.

    1. This tab will show you any configurations where the Audio is currently being used (i.e. an Object, etc).

Congratulations! You have successfully added Audio to the Console. Please feel free to reach out to Customer Success if you have further questions.
