Pladia offers the flexibility to add Images during the Space, Object, and POI creation process, but some operators may prefer to upload Images separately. If Images are uploaded before adding the associated Space or Object, they will be readily available in the list of Images during creation. If you have any questions about the most suitable methodology for your team, please reach out to Customer Success for personalized assistance.

Steps to Add Your Images to the Pladia Console

  1. Select Images from the left-hand navigation in the Console.

  2. To select an existing image for editing, use the search bar in the upper left to find the image and click on it or use the 3 dot menu associated with the image to select Edit Image.

  3. To add a new image:

    • Drag and drop the image file into the outlined action bar at the top of the screen.

    • Or click Choose a File from the same outlined action bar to browse your computer for the desired file.

  4. The Pladia Console will show a loading screen while your image is uploading. Once the upload is complete, the new image will be listed alongside all other previously uploaded images.

Note: Image specifications:

  • File type: JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png)

  • Minimum resolution: 150 ppi

  • Recommended max size: 1500 px

Setting the Default Image Display Ratio

You can set the default display ratio for all images in the App Settings screen:

  • Cropped to fill a 4:3 frame

  • Uncropped to fit a 1:1 frame

This setting will apply to all images uploaded, ensuring consistency across the platform though if you add an image to a Content Block you can choose to use a different ratio to display that specific image.

Editing and Putting your Image On Display

To edit the image details and display the image in your Empower PWA:

  1. Click the three dots next to the image file and select Edit Image.

  2. From the Edit Image screen, you can modify the Image Name, Alt Text, and External ID (the ID used within other systems of record).

  3. Once satisfied with your changes, select Save Draft Changes in the bottom right-hand corner.

  4. To make the image available for display, select Put On Display from the Edit Image screen.

Note: You will still need to publish the image for it to be visible to your end users.

Review Image Usage

Each image file includes an Appearances tab, which shows where the image is currently being used (e.g., within an Object or other configurations).

Congratulations! You have successfully added Images to the Console. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to Customer Success for assistance.
