We understand that Venues may have diverse layouts, so operators can set up multiple Levels within their Buildings to accommodate this variability. Each floor within a Venue, whether indoors or outdoors, is represented as a Level. For instance, both indoor and outdoor spaces on the ground floor are labeled as 'Floor 0', with the floors above it being labeled as ‘Floor 1’, ‘Floor 2’, etc.

We recommend configuring outdoor spaces before moving on to indoor areas, beginning with the ground floor. If you are using an IMDF file for setup, there is no need to manually create Levels in the platform. You can proceed directly to setting up your Space and Object content to continue with your setup process.

Steps to Create Levels in the Pladia Console

  1. Select Venues from the left navigation in the Console.

  2. Select Create Level at the bottom of the Venue Setup list.

  3. Select the correct Building, then select Add Level Boundary to create an outline of the Level.

    1. Use your mouse to draw boundary lines that reflect the footprint of the Level.

    2. Click to create a corner, press Enter to finish.

    3. Click and drag your corners and midpoints to reposition or resize.

      1. To note: You only need to map out the areas within your Venue that will be accessed by visitors. For example, you do not need to include areas meant for storage and internal offices will never be accessed by visitors.

      • Tip: The boundary doesn't need to be exact. Just make sure it fully encompasses your level's foot print—even if it slightly overlaps with areas outside your level, that’s perfectly fine so long as it stays within your venue boundary.

    4. Once you are satisfied with the boundary lines drawn, press Enter.

  4. Add your Level Name, Level Short Name, and Level Index on the right-hand side of the screen.

  5. Once you are satisfied with your Level, select Save New.

  6. Repeat this process until you have created all Levels within a particular Venue.

  7. To put the Level on display, select Put On Display.

    1. To note: You will still need to publish your Level to make it visible to your visitors.

  8. To edit a Level, select the Level you wish to edit, then execute all changes within the text box on the right of your screen.

  9. To delete a Level, click the three dots to the right of your item, and select Delete.

Congratulations! You have successfully added Levels to the Console. Please feel free to reach out to Customer Success if you have further questions.
