Overview

You set up multiple Levels within your Buildings to accommodate diverse layouts and floor variations.

Every floor in your Venue—whether it is indoors or outdoors—is represented as a Level. This means the Level concept applies to the entire ground floor area (including outdoor spaces) as well as the indoor, upper floors.

For example, the ground floor (including both indoor and outdoor spaces) is always labeled as 'Floor 0'. Floors above it are labeled 'Floor 1', 'Floor 2', and so on.

We recommend configuring outdoor spaces before moving on to indoor areas.

Create a Level

  1. Navigate to Venues from the left navigation in the Console.

  2. Select Create Level at the bottom of the Venue Setup list.

  3. Select the correct Building, then select Add Level Boundary to create an outline of the Level.

  4. Use your mouse to draw boundary lines that reflect the footprint of the Level.

  5. Click to create a corner, and press Enter to finish the drawing.

  6. Click and drag your corners and midpoints to reposition or resize.

  7. Once you are satisfied with the boundary lines drawn, press Enter.

  8. Add your Level Name, Level Short Name, and Level Index on the right-hand side of the screen.

  9. Once finished, select Save New.

  10. Repeat this process until you have created all Levels within a particular Venue.

Tip: The boundary doesn't need to be exact. Just make sure it fully encompasses your level's footprint, and ensure it stays within your venue boundary.

Manage and Edit Levels

  1. Select the Level you wish to edit , then complete all changes within the text box on the right of your screen.

  2. To delete a Level, click the three dots to the right of your item, and select Delete.

Note: If you are setting up your Venue using an IMDF file, you do not need to manually create Levels. You can skip the building, level and space creation steps.

Confirm Your Changes

After you've added or edited your Levels, complete the release process to make the content visible to visitors.

  1. Publish your Level (select Publish) in the Console to make it ready to release.

  2. Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.

You're all set! Contact Customer Success if you have any further questions.
