Overview
The Tag Manager is a tool used for bulk and structural organization of your tags. Unlike adding single tags on the Object detail page, the Tag Manager allows you to efficiently perform tasks like Tag Grouping, Hiding and Editing from a single view.
β
Tip: For steps on creating, deleting, and editing single tags, see the Setting Up Themes Using Tags article.
Tag Grouping
Grouping related tags is key for keeping your Tags organized. Tag groups are not displayed to visitors in the PWA.
To create a new Tag group, scroll to the far right of the Tag Manager screen and select Add a Group.
βBegin typing the group name and add tags before hitting Enter to finish.
βYou can also change a tag's group by clicking and holding the Tag, then dragging it to the correct group and releasing your mouse.
Hiding Tags for Internal Use
You can hide tags from public view by marking them for internal use only. This feature is useful for managing content internally without cluttering the visitor-facing PWA.
Use cases include: Tracking objects undergoing restoration or needing content updates; adding staff references; or hiding objects not ready for public viewing.
βHow to Hide a Tag: Find the Tag you want to hide from public view within the Tag Manager. Click the eye icon next to the Tag.
βWhen a Tag is hidden, the color becomes paler, and the eye icon appears with a line through it, confirming the Tag is invisible to visitors on the PWA.
Tip: If a Tag is currently featured, you cannot make it private/hidden.
Review Associated Objects
This step is performed outside the Tag Manager to verify which Objects are currently linked to a specific tag.
Navigate to Objects from the left navigation in the Console.
βUse the search bar in the upper left-hand corner to search for a Tag.
βA list of all associated Objects will pop up for review.
Confirm Your Changes
After you've created, edited, or deleted tags, complete the release process to make the changes visible to visitors. Tags are automatically ready to be included in the public release as soon as you save them.
Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.
