Create and Manage Tours

Design guided, multi-stop tours with maps, audio, and curated audio content.

Overview

Our Tours feature allows you to create interactive, step-by-step journeys for your visitors. The easy authoring process leverages autogenerated map functionality and lets you add audio for each stop. You can ensure the stops appear on the map by placing a location pin for each one. You can promote discovery by featuring tours on your PWA landing page. Tour Stops can be created from existing Objects or Spaces, or they can be entirely new items.

Create a Tour

  1. Navigate to Tours from the left navigation panel.

  2. Click Create Tour. You will see a form to enter your Tour Details and a UI preview that guides the structure of your Tour.
    ​

  3. The Tour Name is required and will show in the PWA. Use a clear public-facing name.
    ​

  4. Add your tour Content. Click Manage Content to open the Content Block editor where you can add text, image, buttons, and video blocks.
    ​

  5. The PWA can display a numbered map of your positioned Tour Stops. This map is autogenerated if you choose to display it. You can select Hide map section when setting up your Tour.

Add Tour Stops

Tour Stops can reference existing Objects, and Spaces or be new items.

  1. Click Add Stop.
    ​

  2. Select which type of Stop you will make. Stops that reference an existing Space or Object will inherit the Content from that item.
    ​

  3. A Stop Details panel will open on the right-hand side. If your stop references an Object or Space, you will see the inherited content here. Edit this or add new content.
    ​

  4. You can override the inherited content in the Tour without impacting how that Object or Space shows in the rest of the PWA.
    ​

  5. Set a Location for your Tour Stop (optional). Placing a location pin ensures the stop appears on the autogenerated map.
    ​

  6. The location will be inherited if referencing an existing Space or Object which you can Remove, or Edit.
    ​

  7. Review your Stop list, selecting the drag bar to rearrange their order.

Linking from Tour Stops: Visitors can click through to the linked Object or Space directly from tour stops for a deeper dive into the content.

Feature Your Tour

To feature your Tour on the PWA Landing screen:

  1. In the Tour Details screen, add a Tour Summary to show on the PWA Landing screen.
    ​

  2. Navigate to App Settings in your Console and open the Featured Tours tab.
    ​

  3. Add your Tour(s) and drag the items to rearrange their order.

Confirm Your Changes

After you've created or edited your Tour, complete the release process to make the content visible to visitors.

  1. Publish your Tour (select Publish) in the Console to make it ready to release.

  2. Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.
    ​
