We recognize the importance for Console operators to review their work from an end-user perspective before making it live for visitor use. In Pladia, we offer the functionality for operators to Publish a Preview bundle before making it accessible in the visitor application.
This article will explore the process of publishing a Preview bundle before publishing a Public bundle. The preview URL is meant for internal testing and initial review only, and should not be shared with outside contacts and resources.
Note: All content marked as 'On Display' is ready for inclusion in Preview or Public bundles, but you can tick the 'Include New & Draft changes' box to review draft items in Preview bundles only.
Draft items will not be included in Public bundles.
Important Preview Mode Details
Initiating a Preview Session: You can access the preview version of the PWA by adding "
?audience=preview
" to the end of your PWA URL. For example:demo.pladia.io?audience=preview
.No Impact on Visitor Analytics: Visitor data will not be affected during these sessions, ensuring analytics remain accurate for actual visitors.
Switching Between Versions: A ‘Preview’ tab will appear in the top-right corner of the screen. Clicking on it allows you to switch back to the live, published version when needed.
You'll know you're in Preview Mode by the 'Preview' tab displayed in the top right corner of the screen.
Clicking the Preview tab will give you the option to 'Switch to Published Version' to exit the preview session.
Steps to Publish a Preview Bundle in Pladia
After making any changes to your content or configuration in the Console (i.e. any attribute you’ve edited or altered), you will receive a prompt to Save Changes.
Save New or Save Changes will generate a Draft.
Once you have put all desired attributes On Display, select Publish in the left navigation.
Under the Preview section, you will see a list of items that have changed their display state.
This list includes changes made by any user, not just changes made by yourself during the current working session.
Check the box to Include New & Draft changes if you wish to preview draft changes alongside any new attributes created during the current session.
If you prefer to see only items that are On-Display or Going On-Display, leave the box unchecked.
Before selecting Publish, you have the opportunity to add any Publish Notes.
Click on Publish Preview Bundle to proceed.
Once you have published the bundle, you can view your publish in the Publish History panel on the right side.
Congratulations! You have successfully Published a Preview bundle to the app, for only your team to review before making it Public. Please feel free to reach out to Customer Success if you have further questions.
