Term | Definition |
Bundle | |
Button Block | A section within a Content Block that allows you to add clickable buttons with links, enhancing interactivity. This provides visitors with actionable elements, such as navigating to more information or initiating a specific action, improving engagement. |
Configure rich text, image carousels, and/or buttons with links for every Object, Space, or Point of Interest using a versatile drag-and-drop builder. Content Blocks are modular and customizable, allowing you to easily manage and enhance content to suit your venue's specific needs. This flexibility ensures a dynamic and engaging experience for your visitors.
The individual or entity associated with an Object, such as an artist or creator of the artwork. If there is no known Creator of an Object in Pladia, you can also use this field to indicate 'Artist Unknown'.
Empower's flexible tagging system allows you to group your objects in novel ways that connect with a diverse range of visitors. Using Tags and Featured Tags, you can link Objects and their associated Spaces to create engaging, guided touring experiences. This approach maintains the unique vision of each collection while offering personalized journeys that enhance the overall visitor experience.
External ID | A numerical identifier for an Object or Image used in other systems of record. |
Featured Tags highlight specific groups of Objects or collections on the PWA landing page, drawing attention to curated experiences. These tags can be used to showcase items of interest for particular visitor audiences or to create thematic collections, such as "Children and Families" or "Expressionist Painters of the 20th Century." By grouping Objects with Featured Tags, you offer personalized and engaging content that enhances the visitor experience.
Hero Image | The main visual representation of an Object in Pladia, prominently displayed when browsing through Space and Object content. While the Hero Image is the primary Image, additional images can still be included in Content Blocks for a richer visual presentation. |
Image Block | A section within a Content Block used to add an image/multiple images. This is different than the Hero Image added for each Object on the Object Details tab. You may add more than one media type to each Content Block in the Console. Content Blocks are available across Objects, Spaces, and Points of Interest. |
Image Ratio | The display format of Images in the PWA, such as cropped or un-cropped. This is set during initial Console setup and can be altered at any point. |
IMDF stands for 'Indoor Mapping Data Format'. This type of file provides a structured way to represent the layout of indoor spaces, such as rooms, walls, doors and other features. When imported into the Pladia Console, it enables the auto-generation of the Venue, Buildings, Levels, and sometimes Spaces, reducing manual setup while providing an accurate digital twin of your venue’s physical layout.
Represent different floors or sections within a venue. Managing Levels in the Pladia Console allows visitors to navigate multi-story or sectioned spaces with ease in the PWA.
Items in your collection that can be categorized, tagged, and displayed in the Pladia Empower PWA. These can range from artworks to artifacts, giving visitors access to detailed information and multimedia content that deepens their understanding of the object during their visit.
Points of Interest (POI) | Designated areas or features of a Venue, such as cafes, restrooms, or stages, highlighted for visitor convenience. These locations enhance the visitor experience by providing wayfinding and informational guidance within the Empower PWA. |
Publish | |
Put On Display | An action to make all attributes - Objects, Maps, Levels, Images, etc - eligible to be visible to visitors within the PWA. You will still need to complete the publishing workflow to see your changes in the visitor-facing PWA but these elements can not be published if they have not yet been Put-On-Display. |
PWA (Progressive Web App) | A web app that provides the same functionality and experience as a native app, without requiring visitors to download it from an app store. Empower PWA offers an immersive and interactive digital experience for visitors, accessible from their own devices, without additional installations. |
Save Draft Changes | Save modifications made in the Pladia Console without immediately publishing them. This allows you to make incremental changes while keeping your visitor-facing app unaffected until you’re ready to publish updates. |
Tag Manager | The Tag Manager is a feature of the Empower Console that serves as a central hub for organizing and managing user-defined labels or keywords called Tags. Tags are grouped and can be assigned a description and an associated image. The Tag Manager also allows operators to make a Tag invisible to visitors, which can be useful for internal organizational purposes. Leveraging the Tag Manager helps you to build Curated Experiences for your visitors. |
Tags | Customizable labels or keywords used to organize, categorize, and enhance content navigation within the visitor-facing PWA. Tags are set within the Empower Console and added to Objects, to tie them together accordingly. |
Text Block | A section within a Content Block where descriptive or contextual text can be added. You may add more than one media type to each Content Block in the Console. Content Blocks are available across Objects, Spaces, and Points of Interest. |
Wayfinding | Wayfinding refers to the process of orienting oneself and navigating through physical spaces. |
