Once you’ve reviewed your updates in Preview and you're ready to go live, it’s time to release your changes to the public-facing app.

This article walks you through how to release Public content—whether you've already tested in Preview or you're ready to go live straight after editing.

🔔 Note: All updates must be set to Published (formerly put on display) in the Console before they can be included in a Public release. This includes content (like Objects or POIs) and configuration changes (like App settings or Pathways).

Steps to Release Public Content

  1. Publish your individual updates in the Console
Whether you're editing content (like Objects or POIs) or making configuration changes (like App settings or Pathways), click the Publish button in the Console to prepare those updates for release.

  2. When you're ready to release
From the left-hand navigation in Console, click Releases.

  3. Review changes on the Releases page

    1. You'll see a list of items with the “Published-sync” status.

    2. This list includes changes made by any user—it's not limited to your own session

  4. Click “Release Changes" to view your options.

  5. Click "Release to public", to open a confirmation prompt.

  6. (Optional) Add Release Notes.
Use the free text field to include details like your initials, date, or a short description of what’s being released.

  7. Click the green "Release to public" button.

    1. This action releases your updates to your Public app

    2. You'll see a notification in the bottom left corner once the release is complete.

  8. (Optional) Check the Release History.
The right-hand panel on the releases page shows previous release notes, including Previews, for your reference.

You’re All Set!

You’ve successfully released your updates to the public app—visitors can now explore the latest content in the PWA.
