Overview
Configuring the PWA is the next important step after successfully setting up your Venue. This setup is foundational; without it, your PWA will not display essential elements like your logo, featured themes, or maps.
Setting up your PWA
All configuration options are in your Settings tab. You will only see the Settings relevant to your feature set. Settings are organized into sub-sections, each with their own form:
Homescreen
Content
Languages
Theme
Wayfinding

Homescreen
Configure your PWA Home screen including subtitle, feature flags, intro text, welcome overlay, and featured content.
Enter your Subtitle and Intro text to show at the top of your Home screen.
Select your preferred Feature flags for your PWA.
The Home screen can be configured with flexible Content sections that can be arranged and named to build a unique landing experience for your Venue. Read more about configuring featured content on your Home screen.
Set your Welcome message. This shows only once in the PWA as a transparent pop-up until dismissed by the visitor.
Content
Configure your Console and PWA terminology and Object / Attribution properties. Note, these settings can only be changed by Console Admins.
Under Catalogue, select your preferred terminology for your Object records from the dropdown list.
The options available are Objects, Items, Exhibits, Artworks, Stories, Animals. This list may be expanded over time.Under Object Properties, order and manage the properties that will appear in your Object record forms.
Under Attribution Properties, order and manage the properties that will appear in your Attribution record forms.
Languages
Select which languages to support in your PWA. This will enable fields in the Console for you to enter translated content.
Theme
Customize your PWA to match your Venue's look and feel.
Select your accent color theme and preview its appearance after the accessibility filter has been applied.
Set your PWA to light or dark mode, or to dynamic to follow visitor device settings.
Upload your organization's logo for light and/or dark mode.
Set your default image ratio to determine how the PWA treats image cropping on Objects, Tags and Attributions. This setting has two options:
Cropped to 4:3 (fill area): the hero image fills a 4:3 landscape box. Anything outside the box is cropped off.
Uncropped (fit to area): the whole hero image is shown inside a square box with nothing cropped. If the image isn't square, there's empty space around it.
Note, hero images for Spaces, POIs, Events and Tours will always be cropped to fill area.
Wayfinding
Select which of your Venue's Mapsets and Pathways will show on the PWA.
Set the visitor-facing Mapset.
Connect your Pathway to the PWA.
Set the Landing Level, the first level a visitor sees on the map.
Paid Tours
Connect your Stripe API key here, if enabled.
