Overview

The Home Screen can be configured with flexible sections that can be reordered, renamed, and enabled or disabled to build a unique landing experience for your Venue.

Edit your Home screen

  1. Navigate to Settings in the Console. Open the Homescreen form.

  2. Set the Subtitle and Intro text and Feature flags for the top of your Home screen

Add Featured Carousel Sections

  1. Select Manage Content under Content sections to populate your featured content.

  2. Click the plus icon (+) to add a new Featured Carousel, Featured Grid, or Content Block (such as a Text Block, Logo Block, or Button Block).

  3. Select the section heading to rename it.

  4. Select Add Content within a Featured Carousel section to mix and match any combination of Objects, Tours, Spaces, Points of Interest (POIs), Events, or Attributions.

    1. If your carousel contains a single entity type, you can enable the Browse All Button. The same functionality is available within the Featured Grid section after choosing up to six tags. This is an optional setting.

Customize Content Blocks on the Home Screen

  1. Text Block: Displays formatted rich text.

  2. Logo Block: Displays one or more logos.
We recommend using black or monochrome logos in a transparent PNG file for best results across both Light and Dark modes.
Logos in Dark Mode: If your PWA is set to Dark mode, logo images will automatically invert colors.

  3. Button Block: Displays a configurable button.

Save your Changes

Once you're happy with your changes, select Save.

Your Settings, including the Homescreen content sections, do not need to go through a Release to publish.

Four principles for a great Home screen

Most visitors spend just 10-20 seconds on the home screen. Make every section earn its place.

  • Lead with visitor questions: What do visitors need to know first?

  • Highlight what's new: Prioritize and promote changing content over the permanent content.

  • Curate, don't clutter: Less is more. Fewer, high quality sections create a stronger first impression.

  • Support your mission: Promote memberships, donations and sponsors where they naturally support your organization's goals.
