Reference Existing Items in Your Tour

Learn how linking existing content to your Tours saves time while creating seamless, interconnected visitor journeys.

Written by Gabrielle Fanning

Overview

Referencing existing Objects and Spaces when building a Tour allows your Venue to create rich, connected experiences without duplicating effort. By linking existing items, your Tour Stops automatically pull in core content while keeping your master records organized and consistent across your PWA.

How it works:

  • Inherited Content:
When you select to reference an Object or Space in your Tour, the new Tour stop will inherit key content such as title, image, audio, and location data. Edit the inherited content within the Tour stop to set tour-specific content.

  • Content Distinction:
Any content or location edits you make within a Tour Stop apply only to that Tour. Your original Object or Space remains completely safe and unaffected across the rest of the PWA.

If you update the original Object or Space after creating your Tour Stop, the Tour will not inherit those updates.

  • Linking To and From Tour Stops:
Visitors can click through from tour stops to the linked Object or Space for a deeper dive into the content.

Any Object or Space included in a Tour will show a Featured In section that links to that Tour.
