By leveraging Empower's time-aware capabilities, you can elevate your mobile storytelling, drive program enrollment, and guide visitors smoothly to the right place at the right time.

Empower transforms complex event programming into an intuitive digital schedule. By utilizing structured event fields, you can deliver highly contextual information right to your visitor's PWA.
Flexible Schedule Patterns: Events support both single occurrences (all-day or specific times) and automated repeating patterns (daily, weekly, or monthly). Empower automatically deprioritizes past sessions so your visitor's feed stays clean and relevant.
Action-Oriented Admission Types: The Admission type field flags when a visitor needs to take action before attending (Ticketed, Paid, Members only, or Donation). Free events are kept clean with no icon, ensuring visual emphasis is reserved for events requiring preparation.
Custom External CTAs: The call-to-action button allows you to direct visitors out to your external ticketing systems, booking forms, or membership portals using flexible text labels and pricing fields.
Natural Language Overrides: Use the Date description field to replace rigid timestamps with intuitive, plain-language labels like "School Holidays" or "Pride Week" to provide instant context.
Rich Profile Integrations: Harness Attributions to display profiles of guest speakers, performers, or sponsors directly within the event page, instantly elevating the perceived value of your programming.
Event Discoverability
An event is only successful if your visitors can find it. Empower ensures your schedule is woven naturally throughout the entire PWA interface.
Smart Filter Chips: On the "All Events" list, visitors can select filter chips to sort by admission type. These chips are dynamic: a filter only appears if a published event matches that type, eliminating frustrating empty states. A dedicated "Today" filter also keeps immediate options front and center.
Dynamic Map Interactions: Events can be positioned as stand-alone items on the Map, or connected to a Space. When a visitor selects a Space on the map that has linked Events, visitors can swipe an information drawer up to reveal the list of upcoming events for that specific Space. Furthermore, when an Event is attached to a Space, that Space will be displayed on the map whenever the Event filter is active.
Bidirectional Related Content: Events feature an exclusive, bidirectional connection system. When you link an event to a Space, Object, or Tour, the relationship automatically surfaces on both pages, catching the eye of visitors who are already exploring related topics.
Tag Grouping: Apply global tags to your events to effortlessly cluster themed programming together, allowing visitors to cross-navigate similar experiences with a single select.
Visitor Actions
Empower gives visitors the tools to build their own personalized itinerary, removing friction from their physical journey.
Add to My Visit: Visitors can save single-occurrence events straight to their personal schedules and the My Visit tab. For recurring events, selecting these options takes them to a streamlined "Event times" page to choose their exact session, guaranteeing their internal itinerary order is perfectly accurate.
Seamless External Transition: When a visitor decides to book, the external link CTA acts as a seamless handoff. Note: Empower does not process payments or sign-ups directly; it acts as the gateway to your preferred external platforms.
Pathways Navigation: Because Events are deeply integrated into the infrastructure, they can be selected as starting or ending points for navigational Pathways, helping visitors map their next physical destination.
Post-Event
Once an event session concludes, Empower automatically manages the content lifecycle to keep the visitor journey forward-looking.
Automated Archive Hierarchy: Past sessions are instantly hidden from standard lists and maps, keeping the focus entirely on what is coming next.
Search Availability: Completed sessions remain searchable for historical reference but are clearly marked with a "Past Event" label so visitors are never confused about timing.
Persistent Detail Pages: The underlying Event Detail page remains active on the PWA until a Console user actively decides to complete a Public Release to unpublish it.
When to use a Space vs. an Event
Some programming falls between a Space and an Event. For example, a limited-run exhibition. The right choice depends on your venue's scale and the complexity of the programming.
For standard exhibitions, we recommend using Spaces, which keep the visitor's focus on immediate, on-site exploration. For multi-area or limited-run blockbuster exhibitions, use Events instead. Events support date-range scheduling and let you link all participating locations, tours, and points of interest together via Related content.
