The Map Navigation experience uses two interactive map types to guide visitors through your Venue: the Landing Map (broad overview) and the Location Map (zooms in on specific Objects, Spaces, Events, or Points of Interest). These maps play a crucial role in helping visitors locate key areas.
Understanding these maps and their functionalities can significantly improve how visitors interact with the digital representation of your Venue, leading to a more intuitive and engaging experience.

Landing Map
Purpose: The Landing Map provides a high-level overview of the venue. Visitors can filter by All, Spaces, Events, and Points of Interest (Tours coming soon) with two views on the map tab: Map view and list view, and can select one or multiple filters simultaneously. Filtering to Events shows only event markers, while Spaces containing linked Events remain visible with a purple dot indicator. The map and list view share the same active filter, and visitors can toggle between the two views using a persistent control.
Access: The Landing Map is found on the map tab if a visitor-facing map has been published in the Console for your app.
If no map has been published then this tab will show the Space and Object experience with the menu title âSpacesâ

Universal Map Functionality
Map List View: Pladia Empower offers two views on the map tab: Map view and list view. The list view surfaces the same content as the map view in a scrollable list format, respecting whichever level and filter is active. Visitors switch between map and list using a toggle button.
Preview Cards: Both maps feature preview cards for Spaces and Enriched POIs. These cards can be selected to view more details and swiped to toggle through the other Spaces or Enriched POI on the selected level. What is displayed when swiping is influenced by physical proximity, showing the closest item next (as determined by physical proximity and position placement on the map in the console.)
Level Switching: Users can switch between different building levels on both maps if multiple levels are available.
The Landing Map displays Spaces, Events, and Points of Interest.
Spaces: Represented as nodes on the map. Selecting a Space highlights its boundary and displays a preview card with more details.
Events: Represented with icons on the map. Selecting an Event highlights its displays a preview card with more details. When a visitor taps a Space that has linked Events, a drawer now appears. Swiping the drawer up reveals the list of upcoming events for that Space. When an Event is attached to a Space, that Space will be displayed when the Event filter is active.
Enriched Points of Interest: Displayed as selectable icons. Tapping an icon brings up a preview card with additional information.
The icons displayed can be selected in the Pladia Console.
Standard Points of Interest: Displayed on the map as the icon which has been selected in the console.
Standard POIs cannot be selected and are intended to show visitors the locations of amenities such as bathrooms and information centers.
Location Map
for Objects, Spaces, Events and Enriched POI
Purpose: The Location Map provides visitors with the location of a single Object, Space or Enriched POI in order to aid visitors in finding that specific thing and provide some spatial context.
