Release Version: 25.8.0
Release Date: August 28th, 2025

What’s New:

Empower App Updates:

New functionality in Pathways

Pathways now offers more ways to guide visitors between buildings.

  • Accessible routes: Visitors can turn on an option to see wheelchair-accessible routes when using Pathways to get directions between two points in your venue. If there isn’t an accessible route set up in your Navtrack, they’ll see a message that says ‘No route found.’

‘Wheelchair accessible’ toggle set to ‘on’ when using Pathways to navigate between two points.

Outdoor positioning: the blue dot (Feature Spotlight!)

Visitors who enable geolocation will now see a blue dot on your outdoor maps

  • Prompt for GPS: Visitors can choose to enable or deny location access.

  • Accuracy indicated by the outer ring: If visitors move inside a building from the outdoor view, the blue dot will still show with an increased radius indicating lower accuracy.

  • Transition to/from outdoor levels: Pathways now supports this! Configure your entrance type in the Console. When visitors get close to a building with an indoor map, they can tap to enter it and switch from the outdoor map view. If location is enabled but they aren’t near any mapped buildings, the PWA will display “Location unavailable.”

  • Preview image for Buildings in map view: Buildings will appear on the outdoor map with a marker and an optional preview image.

  • ‘Open in Maps' button: Visitors can open a building’s location in their device’s default map app, using the address entered in the Console.

When enabled, the responsive blue dot will show the visitors position on your Outdoor map

Configure a preview image for each building to show on the Outdoor Map view. Visitors can click the building icon to Enter, or Open in Maps. If the blue dot is enabled, visitors will see this prompt to Enter a building as they near it, then transition to an indoor level.

Console Updates:

Configure your outdoor Map and Pathways

Configure extra properties in your Console to show Visitors more detail in your outdoor maps.

  • Outdoor level transitions: Now supported in Pathways! Visitors can move from an outdoor map into a building in your venue. Choose the transition type in your Pathways editor. For flat transitions (like indoor to outdoor), select ‘Ramp’ as the transition type.”

  • Add a preview image for Buildings: Configure an optional image for your Buildings in the Venues tab. This will show throughout the Console and on outdoor maps.

Configure your Outdoor Pathways, including level transitions to Buildings around your venue.

Configure a Building preview image in the Building Details panel in the Venues tab.

Delete unwanted library items

You can now delete items from your Image, Audio, and Creator libraries. Removing an item will also remove any attachment it has to Objects, Spaces, or POIs.

  • Delete button: From the list view, click the context menu (three dots) next to an item and select ‘Delete’ to remove it from the Console. You can also use the context menu from the item detail page to delete.

  • Release: If the item is referenced in the PWA, you’ll need to release your changes. Any Objects, Spaces, or POIs that reference the deleted item will appear in the Release list for review. Once released, the change will only affect new users of the PWA, avoiding disruption for current visitors. If the item isn’t referenced in the PWA, no release is required.
