Overview

Setting up your Venue is the first step to organizing your content and launching your Empower PWA and Digital Labels. You can think of your Venue as your home base in the Console. It acts as the central hub that creates the primary boundary, holding all your Buildings, Levels, Spaces, POI's and Objects.

Create a Venue

  1. Navigate to Venues from the left navigation in the Console.

  2. Select Create Venue to proceed.

  3. Add your Venue Name and select the Add Address button.
    โ€‹

  4. Choose your Country, Street Address, City, and Postal/Zip code and select Done.
    โ€‹

  5. The system locates the map for your address, with the Venue Marker identifying the location.
    โ€‹

  6. If needed, you can adjust the Venue Marker on the map.

โ€‹Next You'll Draw your Venue boundary
    โ€‹

  7. Select the Add Venue Boundary button to turn on the map mode, so you can create an outline of your venue.
    โ€‹

  8. Use your mouse on the map to draw boundary lines that reflect the footprint of your Venue.
    โ€‹

  9. Click to create a corner, and press Enter to finish the drawing.
    โ€‹

  10. Click and drag the corners and midpoints to reposition or resize the boundary.
    โ€‹

  11. Once finished, select Save New.

Tip: The boundary doesn't need to be exact. Just make sure it fully encompasses your entire venueโ€”even if it slightly overlaps with areas outside your venue.

Manage and Edit the Venue

  1. To edit a Venue, click the Venue you wish to edit from the left hand list, then make all necessary changes in the text box on the right of your screen.
    โ€‹

  2. To delete a Venue, you must first unpublish it: Navigate to the Venue, click Revert to Draft, and then perform a Public Release. Once the Venue status is Draft, return to the main Venue page, select the three-dot menu next to the Venue name, and choose Delete.

Confirm Your Changes

After you've created or edited your Venue, complete the release process to make the content visible to visitors.

  1. Publish your Venue (select Publish) in the Console to make it ready to release.

  2. Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.

Tip: If you have an IMDF file (Indoor Mapping Data Format) for your venue, you don't need to manually create a Venue in the platform.

You're all set! Contact Customer Success if you have any further questions.
