PWA. All UI copy that comes with the PWA is provided in 14 languages. Customers can enter translated content in the Console for all configurable text fields, content blocks, and audio files. Note: image and video files can not be supplied in alternative languages, but their caption fields can be translated.

To enable additional languages in your Pladia environment, contact your Customer Success Manager.

Multiple Language Support For Visitors

  • The PWA will detect the language set on the visitor’s device and/or browser and offer the PWA content in that language, if it is enabled.

  • Visitors can also manually change language by clicking the Settings icon in the My Visit tab.

  • Any published translated content will show throughout the PWA. Any fields that have not been translated will show the English content.

Customer set-up of additional language content

  • Additional language support in your environment must be enabled by the Pladia team in order to show as an option in your Console and PWA. Nominate your supported languages during the Pladia set-up process.

  • All translated content must be entered by the customer in the Pladia Console. Pladia does not auto-translate content.

UI Text Translations

  1. When populating the Console, click the translation icon on the right of each text field.

  2. This will open a dialog box with your enabled languages. Enter your translated text content.

  3. Click Done to save these edits. The changes will not be visible in the PWA until you publish the related item (Object, Space, Theme).

  4. When uploading translated files, include the language code at the end of the filename for the language to be automatically recognized. For example: FILENAME-es.mp3 (Spanish) or FILENAME-fr.mp3 (French). Confirm the relevant language codes during Pladia set-up and language selection for your environment.

    1. Alternatively, when you upload an audio file within the Files tab without a language code, this dialog box will open. Select the language from the dropdown and click Upload.
