What’s New:

Interactive Visitor Maps

Explore your venue in a whole new way with our brand-new interactive maps feature in the Empower Progressive Web App (PWA.) The new map tab allows visitors to navigate and discover your venue with ease.

  • Pinch and Zoom: Visitors can zoom in and out on visitor-facing maps in the Empower PWA using intuitive controls to explore every detail and uncover rich content.

  • Clickable Spaces & Points of Interest: Visitors can tap on any space or point of interest on the map in the PWA to access detailed information instantly. Whether they’re interested in ancient art, amenities, or hidden gems, all the essential details are now at their fingertips.

  • Location Maps on Detail Screens: Added to the detail screens in the PWA for Objects, Spaces, and Enriched Points of Interest, these maps can be enlarged, panned, and zoomed for a closer look at nearby spaces and amenities.

If you choose not to setup visitor facing maps, the map tab will be labelled Spaces, and display a list of spaces per level.

Enhanced Search Functionality

Our search functionality has been upgraded to make finding spaces, objects, or amenities even easier and more efficient.

  • Prominent Placement: Search is now featured in the main navigation bar, making it easily accessible from any screen.

  • Comprehensive Search Results: Object search results retain the familiar list format, while Tags, Spaces, and Points of Interest now have distinct presentations to help visitors quickly find relevant information.

These advanced search enhancements will be automatically updated in the Empower PWA for your visitors as part of this release.

Greater Language Support

We’re excited to share that the Empower PWA now supports 13 additional languages, enhancing accessibility and usability for your visitors.

Visitors can switch between languages using the settings icon in the My Visit tab.

  • Supported Languages: The PWA now includes Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Vietnamese, Hindi, Japanese, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Mexico), French, German, Portuguese (Portugal), Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, and Korean.

  • Content Translation Reminder: To take full advantage of the new language support, you have the option to add translations for your content in the Console.

Please note that without these updates, your content will not be translated to the new languages, only the PWA interface. For a seamless experience for your visitors in their preferred language, adding these translations is recommended.

General PWA Improvements

You now have more control over the initial onboarding experience for your visitors.

  • Custom Messaging: You can now add custom messaging on the onboarding screen to enhance the visitor experience.

    • Some of our Australian customers, for example, use this feature for an Acknowledgement of Country.

Customize your onboarding message to make a lasting impression on your visitors!

  • Default Messaging: If you leave this section blank in the Console, the PWA will default to general onboarding messaging over two screens.

    • To customize your onboarding messaging; from App Settings, click on the 3-dot menu to Edit Config of the App you would like to update, then click on the Onboarding Tab
