Overview

In the Console, each Object can be linked to an Attribution. This is a flexible field designed to represent more than just artists; it can include speakers, authors, species, cultures, eras, or regions.

You will need to populate your Attributions list before linking them to Objects. A single Attribute can be linked to multiple Objects to show a clear relationship across your collection.

Create a New Attribution

  1. Navigate to Attributions.

  2. Select Create Attribution.

  3. Add the Attribution Name and External ID. The External ID is used to tie the record to your other systems of record.

  4. Once you're happy with your changes, select Save.

Note: Attribution hero images and dates don't appear in the PWA.

Manage and Edit Creators

  1. To edit an Attribution, click the Attribution in the list.

  2. Once you have finished editing, select Save.

Tip: After adding your Objects to the Console and associating them with Attributions, you can easily view a list of all associated Objects under the Attribution β†’ Appearances tab.

Delete an Attribution

Deleting an unwanted Attribution will remove the record from the Console. It will also remove any attachment it has to your Objects in the Empower PWA.

  1. Navigate to Attributions from the left navigation in the Console, and click the context menu (three dots) next to an item.

  2. Select Delete to remove it from the Console.

  3. You can also use the context menu from the creator detail page to select Delete.

Confirm Your Changes

After you've added or edited your Attributions, complete the release process to make the content visible to visitors. Attributions are automatically ready to be included in the public release as soon as you save them.

  1. Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.

  2. If you delete an Attribution, any linked Objects will appear on the Releases page, letting you know the associated content must be released before the change is visible in the PWA.
