Overview
Attributions are now a navigable content type in Empower, with rich metadata, linked content, and the flexibility to represent almost anything with a story to tell. Whether that's an artist, a speaker, a cultural group, or a supporting partner, visitors can now click through to a dedicated page and discover everything connected to it.
Create a New Attribution
Navigate to Attributions.
Select Create Attribution.
Enter the relevant Basic Information for your Attribution, including Attribution Name, Hero Image, optional Audio, and External ID.
Click the 'Display as a page in the app' checkbox (under Attribution Name) if you would like the page visible for visitors to the Empower PWA. It will appear in search results and can be navigated to from linked pages.
If this box is not checked, the Attribution will still be listed on the Object, but will not have a navigable page in the PWA.Add a Featured Summary to show on the PWA Home screen when this Attribution is featured.
Add Content
Navigate to the Content section below the Featured section, then click 'Manage Content'
Click on the plus (+) sign to reveal the content options.
You can add Text, an Image, a Button, a Video, or all four.
Once you are happy with your content, select Done on the top right.
Add Properties
Navigate to the Properties section below the Content section, then add properties such as Dates, Born, Died, Place of Death, Lives and works, etc.
Once you are happy with your content, select Save on the bottom right of the page.
Add an Attribution to an Object
Navigate to Objects.
Select the relevant Object.
Under the Attributions section, click Add Attribution, then select desired Attribution. You can add multiple Attributions to one Object.
Click 'Save' at the bottom righthand side of the Console. Repeat for all desired Attributions.
Tip: You can view a list of all associated Objects under the Attribution → Appearances tab.
Delete an Attribution
Deleting an unwanted Attribution will remove the record from the Console. It will also remove any attachment it has to your Objects in the Empower PWA.
Navigate to Attributions from the left navigation in the Console, and click the context menu (three dots) next to an item.
Select Delete to remove it from the Console.
You can also use the context menu from the creator detail page to select Delete.
Confirm Your Changes
After you've added or edited your Attributions, complete the release process to make the content visible to visitors. Attributions are automatically ready to be included in the public release as soon as you save them.
Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.
If you delete an Attribution, any linked Objects will appear on the Releases page, letting you know the associated content must be released before the change is visible in the PWA.
