How to use Live Preview

Preview real-time content changes directly within the Console to build and refine your content with confidence.

Overview

Live Preview lets you see how your content will appear in your PWA as you make changes in the Console. Changes appear instantly in the preview, so you can check your content and layout before you Save your changes or make a Public Release.

Benefits of Live Preview

  • Speed Up Content Drafting: Use live preview on entity creation forms and App Settings to immediately see how text, imagery, and layout adjustments render on the visitor interface, eliminating the need to publish content just to check its appearance.

  • Understand Field Mapping: Take advantage of the real-time visual feedback to understand exactly which Console fields correspond to specific sections of a page in the PWA.

  • Distinguish Drafts from Published Content: Live preview combines your currently published experience with unsaved changes from your active form. Use this to safely test edits without altering other draft or unpublished records across your Console.

  • Navigate Interactively: Treat live preview as a fully functional version of Empower rather than a static image. Click through different screens—such as moving from a Space detail page to the map—to see how your edits fit into the broader visitor journey.

  • Reset Your View Anytime: If you navigate away from the page you are editing while exploring the preview, select Reload to jump straight back to your target page.

  • Combine with Preview Environments: Use live preview for rapid, single-record drafting assistance. When you need to review fully published draft staging environments or share complete experiences with stakeholders, rely on your dedicated preview environment.

This is the first iteration of the Live Preview feature. With future releases and feature enhancements, the Live Preview feature will also enjoy updates.
