Feature Content on your Home Screen

Customize and arrange sections on your PWA Home Screen to create a tailored visitor experience.

Overview

The Home Screen can be configured with flexible sections that can be reordered, renamed, and enabled or disabled to build a unique landing experience for your Venue.

Edit Logo, Subtitle, and Introduction Sections

  1. Navigate to App Settings in the Console.

  2. Fill out the sections under the Basics section labeled App Name and Subtitle, add your organization's Logo for Light and Dark Mode, as well as select what Feature Flags you would like the PWA to display.

  3. Set the Introduction Message within the Introduction section.

Add Featured Carousel Sections

  1. Select Manage Content within the Content section to insert a new Featured Carousel, Featured Grid, or Content Block (such as a Text Block, Logo Block, or Button Block).

    1. Select the section heading to rename it or add required translations.

  2. Select Add Content within a Featured Carousel section to mix and match any combination of Objects, Tours, Spaces, Points of Interest (POIs), Events, or Attributions.

    1. If your carousel contains a single entity type, you can enable the Browse All Button. The same functionality is available within the Featured Grid section after choosing up to six tags. This is an optional setting.

  3. Select your preferred layout alignment from the image positioning options (Top, Bottom, Left, or Right) when configuring a Button Block.

Customize Content Blocks on the Home Screen

  1. Text Block: Displays formatted rich text.

  2. Logo Block: Displays one or more logos.
We recommend using black or monochrome logos in a transparent PNG file for best results across both Light and Dark modes.
Logos in Dark Mode: If your PWA is set to Dark mode, logo images will automatically invert colors.

  3. Button Block: Displays a configurable button.

Once you're happy with your changes, select Save.

Four principles for a great Home screen

Most visitors spend just 10-20 seconds on the home screen. Make every section earn its place.

  • Lead with visitor questions: What do visitors need to know first?

  • Highlight what's new: Prioritize and promote changing content over the permanent content.

  • Curate, don't clutter: Less is more. Fewer, high quality sections create a stronger first impression.

  • Support your mission: Promote memberships, donations and sponsors where they naturally support your organization's goals.

Confirm Your Changes

After you've configured your App Settings and Home screen, complete the Public Release process to make the content visible to visitors.

  1. Publish your App Settings (select Publish) in the Console to make it ready to release.

  2. Release to Public from the Releases page in the Console.
