Overview

Before releasing updates to your visitors, you can experience the content in-app just like they would. Releasing to Preview allows you to test a private version of the app on your own device, where you can review your changes without affecting live content.

Quick Access: Preview URL

To access your Preview PWA, simply add ?audience=preview to the end of your standard PWA URL.

  • Format: [your-url].pladia.io?audience=preview

  • Example: customername.pladia.io?audience=preview

Tip: Preview releases include items that have been set to Published in the Console but haven’t yet been included in a Public release.

Release to Preview

  1. Additions: Click Publish on the individual items (Objects, Venues, App Settings, Spaces etc) in the Console to push them to the Releases page.

  2. Removal: To hide an item, Start the Removal Process by clicking Revert to Draft on the item in the Console. This queues the content to be removed in your next release. The item's status will change to Draft-sync. (The content is still visible in the PWA until the final public release )

  3. Navigate to Releases from the left-hand navigation.

  4. Review the list of items. This list will include changes marked with a Published-sync status (meaning you clicked Publish) or a Draft-sync status.

  5. The list includes changes made by any user on your team, giving you shared visibility into proposed changes.

  6. Click Release Changes and select Release to preview.

  7. (Optional) Use the free text field to add Release Notes (e.g., initials, date, or a summary).

  8. Click the Release to preview button. You will see a notification once the release is complete.

Verify Preview Mode

Once you've loaded the Preview URL on your device (by adding ?audience=preview ), you can confirm you are in the right mode:

  • You’ll know you’re in Preview Mode when you see the Preview tab in the top-right corner of the PWA.

  • You can verify your content in the Preview PWA before performing a Public Release to make the changes live.

  • Click the Preview tab to select Switch to Published Version when you want to exit the preview session.

Tip: Activity in Preview mode does not impact your visitor analytics. It is purely for internal testing and review.

Confirm Your Changes

After a Preview release, your items will still show in the Release list because they have not yet been released to the public PWA. Once you're happy with your edits in Preview, you are ready to release publicly.

  1. Return to the Releases page.

  2. Select Release to public to push the verified changes to your live visitors.

You're all set! Contact Customer Success if you have any further questions.
